Family Art night for October was a HUGE hit as parents and students created one of a kind spooky pictures to take home. This unique evening is already a favorite with students, teachers, and parents.

Kindergarten through 8th grade had a special visitor in October for Anti-bully month.

Officer Mercado of the Cleveland Police Department stopped by to talk to all of the students about the dangers of bullying.

She spoke to the students about being kind to one another and making good choices online and in person.

Hispanic Heritage Night
Celebrating our Hispanic students and families with food and fun!

It was a wonderful night with great music, yummy food, and amazing performances. Students shared what they had learned about Hispanic Heritage. Families enjoyed some really delicious catered food, including two kinds of rice, pork, and empanadas.

Mrs. Elenbaum had some beautiful displays, including books to read about Hispanic culture and important Hispanic figures from history. Everyone left happy and full!

Mapleside Farms Trip

Kindergarten through 5th grade enjoyed their annual trip to Mapleside Farms. They  learned about things like turning apples into applesauce and how bees make honey. They came back to school smiling and chatting with bags full of freshly picked apples.

STEM/Roller Skating Field Trip
6th-8th Grades

6th through 8th graders were able to combine two awesome ideas: science and roller skating! They learned all about how skates are engineered and how they move, and then they used those amazing skates to have some fun with friends after the lesson was over.

Harvest Parade
K-3rd Grades

Some fun pictures of our Annual Harvest Parade. The students once again surprised us with their creative and fun costumes, and the teachers enjoyed the giggles of their students when they showed off their silly costumes too. We think Mr. Ken's penguin costume was the biggest hit of the day though!

Bat Day at the Library
2nd Grade

The 2nd grade had a wonderful time at the library learning about and creating their own "bats!" The students posed after their lesson to show off their spooky creations!

Candy Corn Science!
3rd Grade had a "sweet" time in
Mrs. Corbin's Class.

Mrs. Corbin has quite a few sticky cups and fingers in her room after an engaging science lesson that explored how water breaks down solids.

Students noted whether the candy corn broke down faster in hot or cold water and charted results.

The students o bvi ously enjoyed the leftovers!

CYSP Volunteers!
Parma Care Center

Our wonderful CYSP ladies went to Parma Care Center in October and spent time with the residents.

They read books, worked on puzzles, and just spent time getting to know new friends.

We'd like to applaud and encourage our young ladies to contin ue to reach out to people in our community with compassion and care!
