SCSS is marking this time of year with many events and activities. It is important to note that while it is an exciting time of year for many reasons; the most important reason is that God entered into time and space in the form of a babe for the salvation of all mankind. In Him, God and man were/are united and through his eventual sacrifice on the cross, man was redeemed from sin. During this time of year the school, parish, and families all partner together to educate the students in the importance of the Christ-event in human history.
Father Marcello has graciously extended an invitation to all school families to join Saint Catherine of Siena Parish each Monday during Advent from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament along with a brief reflection from a guest homilist and end with Benediction.
In addition to this, on Tuesday evenings there will also be Adoration and Reconciliation from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
There is nothing more important for our souls than the Sacraments and it is very generous of our Pastor to extend himself to the SCSS community in these ways. You are welcome to partake in these opportunities.
