How Engineered Accounting Can

Save You $$$$$

  • Your CPA does the books and taxes and keeps you compliant
  • Forensic Accountants many times try and lock the barn door after the horses escaped and try and clean up the mess
  • Engineered Accounting finds tax money you've been paying that you may not have to and puts the money back in your pocket - sometimes immediately and retroactively
Knowing the difference can save you big bucks!!!

Special Report:  Why Our Workforce Is Critical

While the answer to this is obvious, this article will provide access to some very interesting perspectives that you are not seeing in the daily reports or trade journals.  It includes two very enlightening videos.  You may not know it but our region is one of the strongest in the state in terms of workforce development opportunities from middle school academies on up to apprenticeships based on well-proven models.  The purpose of this article is two-fold.  First to inform on the issues and opportunities.  Second to recruit interested parties to the table to help develop a more efficient and effective road map of resources and turn potential into deliverables.  If you would like to contribute your voice please contact Jerry Custin at 813 855.4233.  Read on:

AmSkills Update (American Manufacturing Skills Initiative)

The AmSkills Pre-Apprenticeship Program for adults/veterans is a great way for young adults and those looking to make a career change to explore three career tracks including Mechatronics, Machining (CNC) and Industrial Maintenance with 80% hands-on projects on the actual equipment.   Students will learn the basic foundational skills and upon completion of a minimum of 400 hours will be eligible for job placements at local manufacturers for the 90-day "Manufacturing Career Launch" phase.  Manufacturers benefit tremendously when hiring AmSkills Pre-Apprentices because candidates have acquired both theoretical & hands-on foundational skills.  Training is conducted in a real-world work environment replicating a manufacturing setting, including attendance tracking.  Evaluations are completed by manufacturing experienced instructors and all students are vetted prior to being recommended to a manufacturer.  AmSkills Candidates must prove themselves prior to being recommended and we work to provide the candidate that is the best fit for the company.

If you know someone who needs to improve their skills or are interested in manufacturing, please refer them to AmSkills; or if your company is in need of semi-skilled talent or skilled Apprentice Candidates, please give us a call at 727-301-1282 ext. 126.  Click this link to download our flyer on the Youth and Adult Program.

Manufacturers Association Resource Guide

At the roundtable we heard many comments along the lines of 'I didn't know that', 'I wish I would have know that' and how do find out about that'.  So we have developed a resource guide which will have a permanent spot on this newsletter to try and help out.  This is a 'work in progress' so any suggestions on making it more robust and useful are welcome.  Access the guide by  clicking here.
