Turning fear into faith to put you on the path to success
There is one piece of advice that people hear all the time: "take a risk."

Often times, this is easier said than done. During December's  Professional Women's Alliance luncheon, Catherine Alonzo, CEO of Javelina, spoke about the importance of setting goals, how fear can get in the way of completing them and how taking a little risk can lead to big results.

Dr. Rita Cheng, president of NAU, leads at a higher elevation 
On January 30, 2018, Rita Cheng, president of Northern Arizona University (NAU), will be speaking as a panelist at Valley Voices' presents "Educate and Innovate" featuring Arizona's public university presidents. During her time at NAU, Cheng set forth an aggressive strategic vision focused on growing the university's innovation and research arms, increasing access to affordable education opportunities and ensuring the university is prepared for a fast-changing economy. In recent years, research expenditures have grown by 25 percent, increasing to nearly $40 million, and enrollment has increased by ten percent.

With a rapid response to an ever changing economic and regulatory environment, Cheng is fostering growth, innovation and efficiency in higher education.

Attend Valley Voices on January. 30 to hear her take on the state of higher education in Arizona and learn how NAU, Arizona State University and the University of Arizona are working to move Arizona forward.
