Advent Conspiracy  Barn Raising
Shifting our focus from shopping to sharing.

Our Advent Conspiracy goal is to raise $45,000 to build a dairy barn in the nation of Georgia. The farming initiatives that Pastor Reza, an Iranian minister, is starting will make the entire Bible school self-sustaining as well as provide local jobs and supply the students and locals with fresh milk.  We have a unique opportunity for our one-time gift to impact Iran for the gospel for many years.  Click here to give and be sure to select Advent Conspiracy in the pull-down menu . For more information and to write a check, please visit the lobby table.

Voice of Love is also requesting love offerings and/or gift cards that can be used on future outings with refugee families. All are invited!

Join the library team!

As part of the team, you'll offer help and hospitality to patrons checking out books on Sunday mornings from 10 AM to 12:15 PM. Minimal training is required and your commitment would be about every 4 to 6 weeks. Contact Lisa Kurtz at [email protected] with your interest.

Year-end Giving

As we near the end of 2017, we celebrate the many ways you have been and continue to be Jesus' heart and hands in Prairie Village, Kansas City and around the world. Because of your generous gifts and offerings, God's love is extended across borders locally and globally.

Nearly 21% of Hillcrest's general ministry budget is given in December through your year-end giving. Please prayerfully consider how God wants you to faithfully steward His resources for His ministry through Hillcrest. Whether it be to catch up on your intended giving, to give a gift above your intended giving or to arrange for a gift of stock, we welcome the opportunity to end 2017 in good standing and begin 2018 ministry work with a healthy financial start. Contact Meg at 913-901-2303 or email  [email protected]  with any questions.

Give Stock Instead of Cash | Consider giving appreciated stock you've owned for more than a year instead of cash this year. Stock gifts minimize your tax consequences by providing a charitable deduction for the value of the gifted stock, and Hillcrest can sell it without owing capital gains tax. You can then use the cash you were previously going to give to charity to purchase new stock with a new cost basis. Click here to learn how.

Giving Envelopes | 2018 Giving Envelopes are available on the counter in the Connection area in the lobby for those who use them. If you do not see a set with your name on them, but would like a set, please contact Meg in the Business Office at [email protected] or 913-901-2303.

Holiday Office Hours
Hillcrest offices will be closed on Monday, December 25 and January 1 in observance of the holidays.

One Service on Sunday, December 31
Join us for one morning service at 9 AM. We will have regular children's programming that morning for birth through 5th grade. Youth are encouraged to join their families in the sanctuary.

Extended Giving Hours
Hillcrest will be open extended hours on  Sunday, December 31  until 3 PM for people who want to drop off year-end giving tithes and offerings for tax purposes, since it will be the last giving day of the year.
