Well-being Behaviors are a Part of Our Shared Core Values
With our goal of supporting the whole child, it is important to also highlight our steps to support the whole educator. During Our DPS Day on Aug. 16, team members were given the opportunity to vote on new well-being behaviors to add to our Shared Core Values behaviors. With that feedback, the new behaviors were finalized and the Board of Education passed a whole educator resolution that aligns to our work supporting the whole child. View the new well-being behaviors here and read more about the board resolution here
Living Our DPS Honoree

Robert Maestas
Facility Manager, DCIS at Ford
Fun

"Ask any student at DCIS at Ford who Mr. Bob is and they'll tell you right away. He's the jovial guy out front in the morning giving high fives and fist bumps as they walk on to campus. He's the one in the cafeteria chatting and joking with students as he keeps everything clean. He's the one when a student is having a bad day who will take time out to sit and talk with them. Mr. Bob is truly living our Shared Core Value of Fun every single day.

Bob takes pride in the work he does as a Facility Manager, making our building one of the best in the district. But his greatest value is the daily connection he makes with hundreds of kids. School for our students is a better place because of Bob."

-- Jim McKenney, DCIS at Ford

Nominate one of your colleagues who you see living one or more of our Shared Core Values to be featured as a Living Our DPS honoree.
