Alicia struggled with her emotions throughout her life, plagued with depression and anxiety. She sought help from doctors and medications, but despite their best efforts, Alicia decided to enter counseling. Alicia also found herself in an unsupported relationship that turned violent and in her journey she learned about domestic violence and eventually worked in that field for a time. When she entered her Master's program she discovered, 'The Grief Recovery Program' and it changed her life. Now able to get to the root of her depression and low self-esteem, she later became a registered Grief Recovery Spelcialist and Counselor. Alicia now educates others on loss and helps people complete the Grief Cycle, providing them the steps to promote long term healing. Alicia explains how loss accumulates in our lifetime, from experiences as the loss of those we love, divorce, unemployment, moving, to watching our kids leave home and retirement. Alicia invites you to visit her blog and website.
Becky Traptow has been in the inner healing world, her own and others, for 25 years. Her passion is to help people transform their relationship to themselves, and as a result, their relationship to others. She helps people re-member themselves, discovering the wealth of their inner worlds, recovering their vitality, wholeness and greater physical movement which increases access to stuck emotions and the path of soul. Currently, she is a Rosen Method Bodywork Intern; a somatic practice, accessing the unconscious through touch. Also, she has been involved with Animas Valley Institute for the past 5 years and is currently in training as a human development guide. Becky can be found working out of her home in Red Deer, AB, where she has a private practice weaving soulwork, bodywork, somatic depth psychology, ceremony and nature based wholeness practices with individuals and groups.
