Last month, Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) announced Chicago's first public art plan. Chicago has long been a global leader in commissioning and celebrating public art, and the new Chicago Public Art Plan acknowledges that the field of public art is expanding and recognizes that new public art commissions should welcome creativity in all of its forms. The full Public Art Plan is available at cityofchicago.org/yopa.

Lead grant support for the Chicago Public Art Plan was provided by Allstate Insurance Company.
