Luke 22:39-46
In the Mount of Olives, Jesus lifts up a brave prayer to his Father in heaven, asking if there is any alternative to the cross but also declaring, "yet not my will, but yours be done." Even in the midst of his anguish, Jesus was still teaching his disciples. Surely he wanted more
time with them, for
as they will soon
demonstrate they are not
ready for the events to come.
- To what extent do you think Jesus wanted a different way to fulfill God's plan, and to what extent do you think he just wanted more time to fulfill his work on earth? Why?

Providing Relief after Recent Natural Disasters.
Countless people are still recovering in the aftermath of the various earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, and now wildfires that have affected places such as Puerto Rico, Mexico, many Caribbean nations, as well as the coasts of our country. These are two organizations that are providing on-the-ground relief to those affected:
- Nazarene Compassionate Ministries responds to crisis as they happen throughout the world.
