Growing in Grace & Peace
Grace---St. John the Baptist---Volunteer Week A
Happy November St. Isidore Families,

Halloween at St. Isidore School never disappoints! The children thoroughly enjoy the excitement that Halloween brings! The fun of buying a friend a BOO and marching in the parade is evident on their smiling faces, and their smiles are contagious. Again, this year we will be collecting extra or leftover Halloween candy in the school office. We will donate this to the Blue Star Moms who will send it to our troops around the world.

Mind the Gap –
Please help make a difference by donating the suggested $500 per student to MIND THE GAP! This campaign helps meet the school’s overall operating budget. A big thank you to the many families who have already donated! Your support and generosity are always appreciated.

Red Ribbon Week Results -
Red Ribbon week allows us the opportunity to see our school work together as a team. As a team we were able to gather and donate over 1,500 cans of food, which were donated to the Monument Crisis Center. It was very appreciated and will help many families in the coming cold months.

Book Fair-
The Christmas Spirit starts early this year as we kick off our Annual Book Fair! Start your holiday shopping while supporting SIS. Please join us for some holiday fun at our family event on Friday, November 3 rd from 3pm-5pm. Dads, don’t end up on Santa’s naughty list! Bring your little elves to Santa’s Breakfast on Tuesday, November 7 th from 6:45am- 7:50am. The Book Fair will also be open after Mass on Saturday and Sunday.

De La Salle & Carondelet High School Open House -
This is a great opportunity for parents and students to tour the facilities, meet faculty and students, and explore curriculum and activities. I encourage you to go and check it out!
DLS Open House will be Sunday, November 5 th from 10AM-12PM.
Carondelet Open House will be Sunday, November 5 th from 2PM-4PM.

Veterans Day-
Our annual Veterans Day Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, November 8 th at 10:00AM. All are welcome to join us as we honor those who have served and continue to serve our nation. If you have a veteran in your family who would like to attend, please inform the school office. There will be no school on Friday, November 10 th in observance of the holiday.

Volunteer Needed-
Parent volunteering is vital to our school’s success. Thank you to the many volunteers who assist in the classroom, help with events, and donate items. For our annual Sip & Shop event, we need a volunteer to install the carpet squares on the gym floor prior to the event. Double PEP hours will be given in connection with this opportunity. Please contact the office if you are able to help.

Have a great week!

Maria Ward, Principal
St. Isidore School
