EARLY RELEASE DAYRELEASEDAYS
REMINDER OF OUR EARLY RELEASE DAY
THIS WEDNESDAY 10/11/17
Milton High School will have our only EARLY RELEASE DAY for students on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 11 . All students in grades 9-11 will be taking the PSAT that day.  Seniors, who have signed up to participate, will have an opportunity to take the SAT that day also.
Students will be pick up a bag lunch and then will be released at 12:35PM.
ATTENDANCE DESK NEWSATTENDANCE
Wednesday, October 11 is PSAT day for all 9th, 10th, and 11th graders at Milton High School. Students must remain in the building from 8:20 until 12:20. Students will not be allowed to check out early during PSAT testing.
PSAT/SAT DAY - OCTOBER 11PSATINFO
Three things your teen will gain from
taking the PSAT/NMSQT.
Your teen will take the PSAT/NMSQT® at school on Wednesday, October 11. This test is a chance to become a National Merit® Scholar, and it also offers these benefits:
  1. Connect to scholarships. When students take the PSAT/NMSQT, they have an opportunity to enter the National Merit Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships. The test also connects them to $160 million in scholarships from one of the largest scholarship pools in the country. Students should check "Yes" to Student Search Service® on the day of the test so that scholarship partners can find them.
  2. Free, personalized SAT practice. The PSAT/NMSQT is great preparation for the SAT®. Your teen's score even unlocks a personalized SAT study plan on Khan Academy®.It's completely free. Students simply go to satpractice.org, create an account, and link their College Board and Khan Academy accounts to get a study plan based on their test results.
  3. AP course recommendations. Student score reports will suggest AP® courses that are a great match for them. AP can give your teen an edge in the admission process and allows them to earn college credit while in high school, which could save time and money in college.
If you have any questions about the PSAT, email Heidi Morrison at MorrisonH@fultonschools.org or call 470-254-7125.

Please use the below links to help your student better prepare for the PSAT.

FREE SAT FOR SENIORSSAT4SR
On Wednesday, October 11th, Milton High School will offer the SAT for SENIORS ONLY at no charge. There is no essay with this examination. This is also an Early Release Day. The 9th-11th graders will be taking the PSAT on this date.
If you have any questions, see Mrs. Morrison in 1360 or email  MorrisonH@fultonschools.org

FREE PSAT/SAT PREP FROM KHAN ACADEMY
The College Board and Khan Academy® have partnered to make practicing easy and personal. At Khan Academy, you can access thousands of questions approved by the College Board, take four official SAT practice tests, and create personalized study plans based on your results.
Taking an SAT practice test is good practice for the PSAT/NMSQT and PSAT 10 because the assessments measure the same skills and knowledge in ways that make sense for different grade levels.
