Joy of Saint Joe

Our core value this year is "Serve with Joy." We want to put our beliefs into action by asking our school community to participate in the Joy of Saint Joe day of service on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. This will be a regular school day, but instead of traditional classes, students, faculty, staff, and parent volunteers will go out into the community and perform service for those in need. Students will be able to complete three of their required Christian Service hours for their outreach.

Campus News

Congratulations October Community Award winners Trey Miller, Mrs. Leslie Brenner, and Natalie Klima!

REMINDER: Monday, November 20, is an Indian Day with ALL classes meeting.  Tuesday, November 21, is the mandatory School-wide Joy of Saint Joe Day of Service celebrating our core value of We Serve With Joy.  All students and many parents will be taking part in this celebration of service. Monday and Tuesday is a required school day.

As per our handbook policy, any students missing school for family trips must complete and turn in a Family Vacation Request Form at least one week before the day of absence.  According to Diocesan Policy P4040, all family vacations in which a student misses school is an unexcused absence.  More details are on the form. Pick up a form in the Student Affairs Office or download it from the website under Parents > Student Affairs Welcome and Information page.
Summer Trip to Germany

Saint Joseph High School students are invited to participate in a German exchange program this summer during the second week of June to the first week of July. Students will stay with host families, have daily excursions, and visit Munich and Berlin. The cost for this trip is estimated at $2200.

All students are invited to participate, not just students in German class. For more information contact Mrs. Connie Langheinrich at clangheinrich@saintjoehigh.com or Mr. Paul Kuharic at pkuharic@saintjoehigh.com.

Handbook Update:
To fully integrate our core value of "Serve with Joy" into our students' lives, Christian Service is a course in which all students are enrolled each semester. The course will carry the weight of one-half credit per semester, and each student will decide if the grade is to be included in his/her GPA, provided the student completes the five (5) hours of Christian service required each quarter. This policy is retroactive to include the 2016-2017 academic year.
