The Penfield Business Chamber is pleased to announce that Preston Orthodontics has been named "Business of the Month" for November 2017.
Dr. Janis (Porretti) Preston is the owner of Preston Orthodontics. Dr. Preston has been practicing in the Rochester area since 2005. She is an American Board of Orthodontics Certified Orthodontist, a distinction held by only five orthodontists privately practicing in the Rochester area.
Dr. Preston has achieved this highest level of education as an orthodontist so that she can offer the best treatment options for her patients.
Dr. Preston opened her beautiful office in July 2015 and shared that her primary motivation for opening her own office: "I want Preston Orthodontics to be your neighborhood family orthodontist. Our focus is patients first~ the patient's experience, their smile, and above all their confidence! We want our patients to smile with confidence knowing they look their best."

NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING AND
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PRESENTATION

Tony LaFountain, Penfield Town Supervisor, and Jim Costello, Director of Economic Development for the Town of Penfield, will present the current state of economic development in Penfield and share upcoming projects on the horizon. Each of Penfield's business districts will be discussed during the presentation and there will be opportunity for Q&A at the end.
Additionally, elections for our Board of Directors will be held. The slate of 2017-2018 candidates will be emailed to all members, along with brief bios about each candidate. Candidate information will also be available at the meeting.
Only current PBC members may vote. Please make sure you are current on your dues prior to the event if you wish to vote. New member applications and renewal forms will be available at the door.
Networking begins at 11:30 am. Members are encouraged to bring literature for the Member Information Table. Program and lunch begin at noon.

Join us to celebrate the 2017 holiday season with our Annual Holiday Party, Monday, December 4th from 6PM-9PM. A cash bar and hors d'oeuvres will be provided.

We will also be announcing our Annual Award winners for Business of the Year, Daniel Penfield and Penfield Pride at the party.
This event is FREE for Members and $12 per person for Non-Members and Guests.
Before the party, join fellow PBC Members as we light up the tree at 5:30 PM in the Four Corners of Penfield. Then walk (or drive) over to Bistro 1778 immediately afterward.

It's that time of year again - the Seventh Annual PBC Business of the Year, Daniel Penfield and Penfield Pride Awards. In order to make this selection truly representative of the community and the PBC we are seeking nominations for each award.
Business of the Year Award
This award is given annually by the Penfield Business Chamber to honor a local business that has significantly contributed to the vitality and success of the Penfield business community.
Criteria for the Business of the Year are:
- PBC membership and involvement
- Headquartered in Penfield or maintains visible Penfield location
- Overall community involvement and contribution
- Demonstrated business vitality in terms of growth, sales/revenue, employment, innovation and/or admirable business practices.
Daniel Penfield Award
This award is given annually by the Penfield Business Chamber to honor a local business person who has positively impacted the Penfield business community through his or her community involvement, business practices and overall character.
Criteria for the Daniel Penfield Award are:
- Active community involvement
- PBC Member
- Visible dedication to the Penfield community
- Positive impact on local business
- Exemplary character; serves as a role model & leader
Penfield Pride Award
Each year the Penfield Business Chamber recognizes a local business that rehabilitates an existing building, creates a vibrant new look and becomes a positive addition to Penfield's proud community.
To nominate a business for any of these awards, please complete and submit a nomination form by November 6th. Feel free to also include a letter of recommendation, testimonials or any other information that you believe would explain why the nominated business or person would be a good selection.
Awards will be announced and celebrated at the Holiday Party on December 4th.
