Thanks for Those Beautiful Flowers, Adino!

Have you seen the beautiful flowers outside our building? Those are courtesy of the hard work of our receptionist Adino.

In addition to having a green thumb, Adino is a very talented artist. Her art is featured prominently in the Learn to Teach Life videos she created for Denver Open Media.

Be sure to stop by the front desk and thank Adino for the lovely flowers and everything she brings to Open Media Foundation and Denver Open Media.
Member Profile - Michele Swenson

After having written about the subversion of democracy and other issues for years, Michele Swenson decided she wanted to be able to build narratives using video. So she joined Denver Open Media.

One of the first videos she produced - The Perfect Storm: Platte-to-Park Hill Storm Drainage - was about the alleged risks posed by Denver's proposal to direct 100-year flood waters through the Globeville Park and into the Platte River.

"As challenging as everything has been for me - field and studio work, as well as video editing - I have learned a tremendous amount from interns, instructors and other members of DOM," explains Swenson. "Membership provides many privileges for which I am grateful."

There are many future projects she would like to complete, including a documentary about the importance of spaying and neutering pets, reinforced by a story about feral cat colonies.
