Do I need a private college counselor?
The Counseling Department gets this question quite often from families.  We are blessed to be able to work with students individually to search for colleges, fill out college applications, and review essays. We offer the same services as private college counselors at no cost! Please take advantage of everything that our department has to offer: college planning nights, college visits, workshops, conferences, and individualized application help! We are here to help families through the application process. Feel free to make use of our services.

Learning Success Program
October is Learning Disabilities Awareness Month!  Every student in the Learning Success Program has a unique gift to offer not only Crean Lutheran, but the world.  October is all about embracing your student's learning disability and helping him/her to navigate the world of learning. The Learning Disabilities Association of America has put together a calendar of webinars and activities for families to get involved.   Click here to check out the calendar and learn some great tips.
Tip of The Week
Empower your child! High school is a perfect time for students to begin taking responsibility and advocating for themselves. I hope that you will partner with me to encourage students to contact me and/or their teachers themselves, if they have a problem or question. This is a great practice environment for students to learn what to expect in college.
