Our current 2nd floor space is open for all regular and specialty classes starting  Tuesday, October 10 at 9:30am . Please go to the back of the building and up the stairs until further notice.  Parking is available on the side streets and in front of the studio on St. Anne's.  We are so excited to meet you on your mats again!

Kids Yoga Practice

Mondays 5:30 - 6:15pm
October 16 - December 4

There are still some spots open!  Reserve a mat now for your child's yoga class!  We explore yoga poses and yoga activities that build stamina, flexibility and focus. At the beginning and end of class, we discuss body awareness and encourage a confident attitude toward others.

Intro to Kids Yoga Actions Teacher Training - Module 1
Serene Yoga Studio is offering an off-site Teacher Training for individuals interested in teaching yoga to our tiny Winnipeggers!

This experiential workshop is an introduction for anyone who wishes to share yoga with children-yoga teachers, parents, educators and caregivers.  No previous yoga or teaching experience is required. Participants in the program will:
  • learn to enhance a child's educational experience through mindfulness and playfulness;
  •  be able to share yoga-inspired activities with children and students in studios, schools, daycares and at home;
  •  gain the confidence to channel a child's creative energy in a variety of fun ways through hands-on lessons;
  • receive a training handbook included in the registration fee.
If you are an educator, the program is developed with special attention to everyday activities complimentary to your current curriculum.

Personal Development Yoga Actions Workshops

Spinal Health 1: Exploring the S-Curve
October 28, 2017
1pm - 5pm

In yoga, our aim is to move from Dukha (Suffering, unease) to Sukha (well-being, lightness of being). Deviations from Sukha are registered in the S-Curves of the spine. This workshop practices yoga actions that bring your spine back in to Tadasana alignment (Sukha), no matter what pose you take!

Healthy Knees: Prevention & Correction
November 18, 2017
1pm - 5pm

Much of our unresolved emotional trauma (Dukha) is held in our larger joints - knees, hips, shoulders, ankles, wrists. The focus of this workshop is on opening and strengthening our joint cavities, in particular the knee joints. To undo old holding patternsand prevent further strain on this naturally unstable joint, yoga actions for asana and pranayama are practiced.
