The mission of Corpus Christi Catholic School is to nurture every child by providing the opportunities to grow in faith, achieve academic success, and serve others as disciples of Jesus.
Cougar Connection

Dear Parents,

We are thankful that our families remained safe during the recent hurricane. We certainly are blessed that during this active storm season, we have been spared the worst.

Blessing of the Animals

Our annual Blessing of the Animals, in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, is tomorrow, October 10th.  The blessing will be held after the 8:15 school Mass.  Parents may bring pets to school and meet students in the parking lot around  9:00 as the students are leaving Mass.  All animals must be in a cage or on a leash. Children may not bring animals to school with them, and no animals will be allowed to stay at school. All animals must go home after the blessing.  If you are not able to bring your child's pet, children may choose to bring a picture of their pet.  A special blessing will be offered for all pets, even those not present.

Walk-In
Friday, October 13

Our first scheduled Walk-in of  the school year will be this Friday. Parents are welcome to join us for our Morning Announcements and CCN

Respect Life Month

In October we celebrate Respect Life Month. We have several  important activities planned thus far. First, we will teach the student lesson for the Child and Adolescent Protection Policy. Your children bring home information for you to discuss with them. Second, we will pray a Pro-Life Rosary together on Friday, October 13 at 2:20.  Parents are welcome to join their students in the classroom and pray with us.  Finally, we are again raising money for the 2B Choices for Women Pregnancy Center with our annual Baby Bottle Fundraiser. This will take place during the weeks of October 16-20.  Each family will receive a baby bottle and you are asked to fill it with loose change.  The money raised will help 2B provide services to women and babies. Thank you in advance  for your generosity. In addition to these events, many of our 7th and 8th grade members of the Pro Life Club will be meeting other students on Friday mornings at 6:30 as they recite the Rosary together and pray for life  as part of the 40 Days for Life Campaign.

In addition to 15 iPads purchased last spring, our PTO recently donated  numerous picnic tables for outdoor instruction, several push carts, and more.  In addition the PTO helped us obtain an ice machine for the Teacher's Lounge donated by the DeHart family.

Through your support and patronage of M&M Books and More, they were able to  purchase a new upright freezer for the Cougar Store in the gym and donated a check to be used as needed in our school.
