At the Shrine Center Bridge Club we are thankful to be able to provide you with so many great bridge-playing options! Get the edge you need to compete with the experts and level the playing field! It doesn't matter whether you're an expert or a beginner - the handicap ensures that everyone has a chance to win. A masterpoint based handicap is added to your score for each match.
How It Works
- Recruit a team of four of any level of players, or let us get you one.
- First round match assignments are made randomly.
- During the first round, your score is adjusted by an IMP handicap based upon your masterpoint holding.
- The match winner is determined by the score after the handicap has been added in.
- Each successive round is matched by ACBL score and the handicap is again calculated and added to determine the winner.
- Handicapping "levels the playing field" of the 2 teams.

5-Day Side-Series Regional Pairs Event at Your Local Club
(Nov 13-17, 2017) Regional Event At the Club "House" (REACH for Gold)
During the week of Nov 13-17, the ACBL is piloting a collaboration across the Chesapeake Regional, TheCommonGame (TCG), and local clubs in your area. Individual players will be eligible to win Gold Points based on their results in their Common Game "afternoon" games. Anyone interested in seeing how this works, may register for a FREE practice event Oct 30-Nov 3 where the winner will receive a week of entries for their local "Afternoon" club game.
Free Practice Event (Oct 30 -Nov 3)
(registration closes at midnight before the event starts)
You must pre-register for the Main Event and pay $25 to be eligible for Regional Event Gold Points (this is in addition to the normal card fee at your club)
Win Gold just by playing at your local Club.
Must play in at least two club games during the series in order to be eligible for overalls (there are no section awards).
