Thanksgiving Prayer
Lord, thank you for walking with us
through the seasons of our lives. For the winter,
when we are held safe in your arms through the darkness. For the hope of spring,
as we are filled with new promise and life. For summer time,
full of warmth and color. And for autumn days as leaves fall to seed new growth. You are always with us. Amen.

Thanks to everyone who made a 2018 pledge to the mission and ministries of the Gilead Church-God's Church!-during this past Sunday's dedication.
We heard a moving testimony from Glen Hadley who shared how our Church helped him during the darkest time of his life.
For those who have not yet made a pledge commitment, we hope you will. Pledge cards can be found in the front and back of the Sanctuary or by calling our Church Office. Cards can be placed in the offering plate on any Sunday or returned to the Church to the attention of our Assistant Treasurer, Joan Cordier. Thank you for your consideration, commitment and support!

Faith and Film Series - Friday, December 1st
Join us for our Faith and Film Series on Friday, December 1st. We will gather at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall for a potluck supper followed by watching the film "Brooklyn" (Rated - PG13). This movie is about Ellis Lacey who readily adapts to the vastly different New York City after immigrating from Ireland. She falls for a young Italian, but when tragedy pulls her back to her hometown, she finds her loyalties divided between two nations - and two men. Please bring a dish to share and join us. All are welcome!

You may have noticed that beautiful paraments now hang from our pulpit and lectern. Many thanks to Lynn Lukach for creatively weaving them for us. The paraments will change throughout the year to reflect the color of the liturgical season. Currently we are in the Season after Pentecost and the color is green. On Sunday, December 3rd the season of Advent will begin and the color will be purple.
