Positive Coaching Alliance
Thanks Parents & Coaches

Thank you to all Austin Metro Hockey League parents and coaches for participating in the recent Positive Coaching Alliance workshop.

The  Shootout Foundation funded session highlighted situations and issues parents and coaches of young athletes often encounter.

One parent said afterwards, "the session was really worthwhile. The instructor was articulate and thoughtful. It was a good reminder that our actions and our reactions have an impact on those around us."

The Positive Coaching Alliance believes staying positive helps kids get the most out of sports. With a combination of truthful, specific praise and constructive criticism, athletic performance improves and so do the chances that kids will stick with sports longer, learning the valuable life lessons inherent in organized competition along the way.
