Shoreline Credit Union is hosting a Lunch & Learn at their Manitowoc location on Tuesday, November 28, 12:00 - 1:00pm. Jessica Trombley of Shoreline Credit Union will present on the topic "Fraud: Protection, Detection & Control." Learn how to protect yourself against fraud - during the holiday season and every season. Registration and lunch are at 11:30am with the presentation to follow. The Salvation Army of Manitowoc County: Bell Ringers Needed!!! Can you give two hours of your time this year to volunteer to ring bells? This year's Red Kettle Campaign runs from November 17 until Christmas Eve. The funds raised help us fill needs in the community year round. Service League of Manitowoc County: SHOP! SHOP! SHOP! The 35th Annual Holiday on the Lakeshore presented by Service League is this FRIDAY and SATURDAY, November 17 and 18. There's something for everyone on your Christmas list!  Cash raffle tickets available with the winning tickets drawn Saturday. The winner need not be present. Take a break from your holiday shopping and get a delicious piece of homemade dessert at the League Cafe. Admission is $4 or $3 with a non-perishable item. All money raised goes back into our community.

Lakeshore Technical College (LTC) is offering new FastTrack programs beginning in January 2018. The new FastTrack programs are ideal for working adults who need to balance work, family and college. Attend classes Monday evening from 5:00 - 9:00pm and complete two courses every 8 weeks. You will be able to complete a FastTrack program in 2 years. LTC currently offers three FastTrack programs. Lester Public Library: Genealogy Club meets Thursday at 10:15am. Get research tips and share uncovered stories! New members always welcome. Also Thursday, come for a relaxing hour of coloring for adults at 1:00pm. We provide all supplies (including coffee and soda!). Teen Late Night for 6th-12th graders is Friday from 8:00 - 11:00pm. Permission slips are required. And enjoy a foreign film on our big screen next Tuesday, November 21, at 6:00pm. This month's feature is the French psychological thriller, Elle. For adults only. Bring a beverage and we'll furnish the popcorn.
 
Manitowoc County Historical Society invites you to experience Christmas on the homefront during World War I with this year's "Pinecrest Christmas" on Saturday, December 9, from 11:00am - 3:00pm at the Society's Pinecrest Historical Village, 924 Pinecrest Rd., Manitowoc.  Various activities will take place throughout the day including Santa and his reindeer from 12:00 - 2:00pm. The Marine Band will also have chili for sale. The program is made possible by Ansay & Associates LLC, Bitter Neumann Appliance - TV - Furniture, and Manitowoc Landscape, LLC.
 
United Way Manitowoc County: The appl ication process for United Way Manitowoc County's 2018-2019 Strategic Community Impact Grants is open. Manitowoc Public Library: The worlds of opposites attracting are explored in "The Longest Ride," the romance novel and its filmed counterpart. However, one huge question remains-which version does a better job of delving into this concept? The Bay at North Ridge presents its annual Holiday Bazaar this Thursday, November 16, from 10:00am - 2:00pm at The Bay at North Ridge, 1445 N. 7th St., Manitowoc. Residents and staff have been busy making wreaths, hand-tied blankets, unique Christmas decorations, and many other craft items. We will also be serving our delicious special recipe chili. All proceeds benefit resident activities throughout the year.

Lakeshore Humane Society (LHS): Please walk with us in the Lakeshore Holiday Parade in Manitowoc on Wednesday, November 22 - look for the LHS van in the parade lineup at 6:15pm.  LHS is also walking in the Hometown Christmas Parade, Saturday, November 25, at 5:15pm in Two Rivers. All dogs welcome no matter if they are from LHS or otherwise. No need to register to walk your own dog. All dogs must be current on their immunizations and be leash controlled at all times. See you there!
