Happy December! I hope that you all had an enjoyable Thanksgiving break and a successful transition back to school. The weather is still agreeing with us, as the warm temperatures have allowed our students to have plenty of outdoor playtime. The climate will undoubtedly change in the near future, so please be certain that your child(ren) are prepared for the chillier temperatures. Students should be properly equipped to face the outdoors, with coats, hats and mittens, as we continue to play outside and walk to Mass when the weather is above 32 degrees.
Tomorrow morning as a parish, we will celebrate our Patronal Feast Day! Please join us for 9am Mass if you are able, followed by coffee and pastries in the Hospitality Room, located in the basement of the church. It would be wonderful to have a “school family presence” at the Mass, as an outward sign of our devotion to the saint who intercedes for us on a daily basis! Our students will also have the opportunity to celebrate the feast day on Monday, as we gather as a school community to pray together and honor our patron saint. During this celebration, we will also have the opportunity to validate our mission statement, as we receive our Advent families and make plans to “demonstrate our faith in action through our care and service for one another”. Thank you in advance for your charitable and generous giving to those less fortunate than ourselves.
Also next week, we will have a very special visit from St. Nicholas. Students will be leave their “shoes” (or paper replicas) in the hallways on Tuesday afternoon, as we build excitement for their visit from the jolly saint who began our Christmas tradition of giving. Please

to access a wonderful website that explains the rich history of St. Nicholas.
If you have not done so already, please take the time to visit our school website, access the school calendar and record the school's happenings during this Advent season.
Hope to see many students and their families at tomorrow morning's 9am Mass!
God bless~
Mrs. Russo
