Christmas Bazaar and Lunch with Santa
Here Comes Santa Claus!
The Big Man himself stopped by Ridgecroft on Friday, December 1st to help ring in the Christmas season with the annual Christmas Bazaar and Lunch with Santa. Junior elves directed wide-eyed lower school students to their photo sessions with Santa while guests shopped with vendors in the lunch room and stocked up on holiday goodies at the bake sale. The wind ensemble and lower school students provided seasonal music as families enjoyed their lunch and students bought gifts for their families and friends in the toy room. Overall, the day generated enough Christmas spirit to last well into the new year!

Reality Store
Dose of Reality
On Tuesday, November November 20, Ridgecroft's Upper School students had a dose of reality when they participated in the Reality Store hosted by the Hertford County Extension Office.  "Get a life" took on a new meaning when students were handed their new lives, complete with jobs, spouses, children, and debt. As they rotated through the various stations, students worked to pay their bills and provide for their families on their given salaries. While most students budgeted carefully, others were rushing to sell their recently purchased Corvettes when faced with a mortgage and health care expenses. All of the students agreed that the experience gave them an unexpected dose of reality that will serve them well in the future.
