The 2002 film depicts the story of how Virginia Woolf's novel "Mrs. Dalloway" affects three generations of women. Stars include Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore, and Nicole Kidman.  Based on Michael Cunningham's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. The film is 110 minutes long and rated PG-13.

Public Program with Moab Police Chief Jim Winder

The program is an opportunity to hear not only what changes Winder would like to see in the community, but also to discuss law enforcement issues and concerns related to noise, drugs and homelessness.

A holiday hot cider will be served.

Avalanche Awareness

The USFS Utah Avalanche Center - Moab will put on a free "Know Before You Go" avalanche awareness presentation geared toward winter backcountry users. The presentation features an exciting and educational short film that was accepted in the Banff Film Festival.  A PowerPoint presentation will follow.

Shot by more than 40 filmmakers around the world, this film immerses the viewer in spiritual practices and cultures from around the globe. The 2016 documentary is 87 minutes long and not rated.

Shown in partnership with the Utah Film Center.  Utah Film Circuit screenings are made possible by the Moab to Monument Valley Film Commission, Zions Bank, My Good Fund, and the Moab Sun News.

Dinner and a Movie

Come check out our display in the Moab Library!  

Now that the weather is getting colder - it's a great time to enjoy movies and cooking!  Stop by our display of film-cookbook pairings and checkout anything that intrigues you.  Take a minute to guess the number of popcorn kernels in a jar and you will be entered to win a cooler backpack!  Winner will be selected and notified on Tuesday, December 19.

December's selection is We Bought a Zoo by Benjamin Mee.  Copies are available for checkout in the library.   
Kindles with the ebook version pre-loaded are also available for checkout!  New participants are always welcome.

Castle Valley Book Group

The Castle Valley Library is located in the Castle Valley Community Center and is staffed Tuesdays 9AM - 1PM, Wednesday 12PM - 4PM, Friday 1PM - 5PM. 
Library Closures       

The library will be closed Saturday, December 23 - Tuesday, December 26 and will re-open on Wednesday, December 27.

The library will also be closed on Monday, January 1 for New Year's Day.
