NOVEMBER SPOTLIGHT: CHILD ADVOCATES OF BLAIR COUNTY/BLAIR COUNTY HEAD START

In September, a group of parents and staff from CABC-BCHS attended the Parents as Leaders Training followed by the Families Unite for Head Start Spirit Rally. Following the rally, the parents were able to put the knowledge they received into action by visiting their legislators to talk about the importance of Head Start in communities and families. After they returned home, these parents continued using their voices to write a Letter to the Editor that was published in the October 20th edition of the Altoona Mirror. We are pleased that Candace McQuillen, Casey Croft, and Rachel Wilt will be facilitating a workshop session covering this training at the Parent Leadership Track of the Fall Administrators Meeting November 28-29, 2017 at the Best Wester Premier/Central Hotel & Conference Center in Harrisburg.

Would you like to see your program featured in next month's Spotlight Program?
