Dear School Families,

First trimester report cards were sent home today.  We encourage you to check in with your student and set academic and personal goals.  This helps to motivate, energize and focus your student and it is a valuable skill that is a life-long benefit.  I spent time this week looking at each student's report card and Star reports.  It was a humbling experience for me to be a part of your child's educational journey at Holy Rosary School.  I, too, am setting goals on how to best serve our students and teachers.

We must also set spiritual goals that deepen our faith with Christ.  Advent is a beautiful way to anticipate the wonder and blessings of Christmas.  We remember that Christ came into the world to not only show how much God loves us but also to show us how to live.  It is an opportunity for us to reflect on how well we are following Jesus' example and be peace builders in our home, school and community each day.

In Partnership,

Mrs. Fely Fajardo
Interim Principal

During the Advent season we invite you to journey to peace.
Seeking peace, making peace, praying for peace.
There are several ways to begin seeking such peace.
One way, is to visit our beautiful church during the week.
Come to pray, come to read, come to sit with Christ during this wonderful time of year.
Come to find peace.
Beginning December 5, 2017 through December 21, 2017.
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 12pm to 2pm.
For more information, please call the rectory office
 at 925-757-4020.

Classroom News
First grade is introducing the "Super e".  An e at the end of a word is special and is called "Super e" because it can change a short vowel into a long vowel.  First graders are also learning how addition and subtraction are related.

Eighth graders presented their Saints Alive project to the 1st, 2nd and 4th graders.  The students are setting their personal Accelerated Reading goals.

Thank you to all our students and families who spent time with our teachers at Barnes & Noble.  Thank you to our teachers who spent time reading with the students.   It was a joyous evening visiting with each other.

   Congratulations Andrew!
