20th Anniversary Partnership Raffle
  
Throughout 2017, the  Wisconsin Women's Health FoundationSusan G. Komen Wisconsin, and  Breast Cancer Recovery have been celebrating 20 years of partnership and service. Our latest collaboration was a raffle to benefit the  work of each organization in the fight against breast cancer. 

Thanks to our donors,  The Diamond Center, and to everyone who purchased a raffle ticket.

Spicin' Up Women's Health in the Salvation Army's 
Lip Sync Battle

The women of the WWHF are definitely rock stars, but did you know they're also pop stars? 

Staff competed as the Spice Girls against 8 other groups representing charities around Madison in the Salvation Army of Dane County's  Lip Sync Battle for Charity  on November 15th.  "Spicin' Up Women's Health" took 2nd place and had a great time supporting all the charitable work being done in our community.

First Breath Webinar: 
What's going on in tobacco prevention and control? 

On November 9th, our First Breath program hosted a webinar for over 50 attendees called  "What's Going on in Tobacco Prevention & Control?" We were joined by guest speakers from the  American Lung Association and the  Wisconsin Tobacco Prevention and Control Program to take a look at the new Housing Urban Development (HUD) Ruling and "Tobacco is Changing" Campaign.

The MotherPod Talks Parenting and MS

Cheryl Blaschuk, NP, with Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin in the multiple sclerosis and comprehensive headache programs was a speaker at our July GrapeVine Conference. She sat down with us at that time to record an episode of the MotherPod, which is now available on itunes and Soundcloud.

On November 16th, WWHF Executive Director, Tommi Thompson, spoke at the South Metropolitan Business Association to provide a brief overview of the history of the WWHF, its programs and events, and the impact that it is having across the state. 

We are grateful for the invitation and the opportunity to advocate for women's health with this influential group.
