Governor Christie, RU President Barchi and others headlined a ceremony to break ground for the $70 million health sciences building (pictured above in an artist's rendering) yesterday in Camden, with many officials noting the city's significant role in a growing academic health care footprint across New Jersey. A spring 2019 opening is expected. The center will be shared by RU-Camden, Camden County College and Rowan University, and will continue the investment Rutgers and others are making in Camden's burgeoning "Ed & Meds" corridor.
