Mazl Tov to Rabbi Bearman!
As many of you know, over the past two years, Rabbi Bearman has been helping to create the Central Conference of American Rabbis' new mahzor (High Holy Day prayer book) for families. We are very excited to share that this new prayer book has been published!

Mishkan HaNefesh For Youth  includes the commitment to creative poetry and readings that we see in our new mahzor, Mishkan HaNefesh, as well as the easy accessibility (and beautiful art!) of our Family Service prayer book,  Mishkan T'filah For Youth.

In addition to serving on the Advisory Group for Mishkan HaNefesh For Youth, Rabbi Bearman also wrote multiple prayers that are included in the prayer book. We wish Rabbi Bearman "MAZEL TOV" on this special accomplishment!
All-Star Fiddler on the Roof (with Rabbi Bearman)

Fiddler on the Roof All-Star Community Staged Reading Presented by the Federation for Jewish Philanthropy of Upper Fairfield County, Sunday, December 3 at 4:00 pm, at Congregation Rodeph Sholom, Bridgeport.  Rabbi Bearman is "The Rabbi!"

The Federation for Jewish Philanthropy of Upper Fairfield County, Upper Fairfield County Rabbis, Cantors, Community Leaders, and more present a script-in-hand reading of the classic Broadway musical, singing all of Fiddler's most popular songs accompanied by a volunteer community orchestra and choral ensemble.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the Federation's work to impact our extended Jewish family in the former Soviet Union.  More information and tickets.

Do a Mitzvah in Your Sleep!

We need volunteers to help at the Overflow Homeless Shelter in Danbury. Our first week of coverage is 12/25-12/31. Contact Peggy Zamore at socialaction@templebnaichaim.org if interested! More information here!

By participating in this mitzvah you are helping to provide a warm place for people to spend the night during the coldest time of the year. Without us supporting this project, two dozen people might be out on the street looking for a place to huddle for the night. Please help!
Hanukkah Mitzvah Opportunity at Jewish Senior Services

From Nancy Altchiler:  Do you have an hour to spare during this Holiday season to spread the Hanukkah light? Just one hour that would mean so much to the Residents at Jewish Senior Services. Perhaps you could bring your choir to perform, some children to sing Hanukkah songs, have a candle-lighting ceremony or help the Residents light their own menorahs. If you are unable to get to JSS, perhaps you could make cards or Hanukkah decorations. If you are interested, please call Ellen Ashkins at (203) 365-6417 or email her at eashkins@jseniors.org.
