Principal's Message
Greetings!

We have much to be thankful for at the Villa. Our students learn and grow academically, spiritually, and socially, and our families support and engage in many special activities on and off our campus. It is a blessing to be part of this extraordinary community.

I hope you enjoy a wonderful holiday with your family and loved ones.

Happy Thanksgiving!
EDUCATION
In their Astronomy unit, 3rd graders learned about the moon and recreated the moon's phases using Oreo cookies.
7th grade Latin students worked on a group project depicting Ancient Rome.
Montessori students sampled different apple varieties, noting and graphing their preferences.
5th grade Science students identified biotic and abiotic factors while exploring our hillside Nature Trail ecosystem.
Traditional 4-year-olds learned how to set a table and proper table manners in preparation for their family gatherings.
Kindergarteners designed and described their own themed turkeys - with much creativity on display!
7th grade French students presented popular French pastries to their classmates, including this delicious Tarte Tatin - upside down apple pie - handmade by a student.
Toddlers learned about the first Thanksgiving, created Pilgrim hats, and celebrated a feast with their classmates.
4th grade Science students examined the rate at which liquids flow in their study of viscosity.
Congratulations to these Art students whose works were displayed at the Hyde Park Art Show!
FAITH
Our 1st graders have been learning about the saints. Each learned studied a particular saint, then dressed up as that saint, and led the school in our All Saints Mass.
2nd graders continued their faith journey toward First Communion by participating in First Reconciliation with their classmates and with the support of their parents.
As part of the school's Thanksgiving Prayer Service, 6th grade students enacted the Bible story of Jesus feeding the crowd with loaves and fishes.
COMMUNITY
More than 50 families enjoyed an evening of ice skating, crafts, food, and community at the Indian Hill Winter Club Party, a popular sign-up event offered through Villabration.
We partnered with Childhood Food Solutions to collect food items for bagging and distributing to children and families in need. 6th graders helped gather the food which Executive Director Tony Fairhead gratefully accepted, explaining that our collection will provide approximately 2,000 meals.
The 4th Grade Junior Girl Scouts spent the night at the Caldwell Nature Preserve. During their overnight, they completed the Energize Journey and learned about various types of energy, made energy pledges, and hiked and explored the area.
Villa Parents' Organization
VPO helped Manor House students celebrate their dads with donuts and coffee as well as special keepsake keychains.
Villa Boosters
This 8th grade girls volleyball team came in 1st in their league and won the Greater Cincinnati Catholic Youth Sports Tournament, earning them a trophy and a banner for our gym. Other Villa girls teams, including a 3rd grade and both 6th grade teams, brought home trophies for their 1st and 2nd place finishes in the GCCYS Tournament. Congratulations Eagles, on a very successful season!
