Your tax dollars at work: A weekly update on bond/override/construction
activity at SUSD schools. Check out what we're up to this week.
Scottsdale Unified School District | Bond Update 11/10/17

Thank you for signing up for weekly updates on bond & capital override projects within SUSD. We are committed to transparency throughout this process, and we welcome your feedback. Like you, we can't wait to see our new schools go up and our existing schools improve.
WEEKLY PROGRESS

On Thursday, November 9, the Governing Board briefly tabled a decision to start construction at Pima, in order to continue discussions about how total project budgets are outlined when presented to the Board for approval. The vote has been delayed until the Governing Board meeting on Tuesday, November 14 and should not impact the current estimated timeline for construction.

Also on Thursday, November 9,  the Governing Board voted to approve demolition of the former Tonalea  school buildings on 68th Street.  Rumors have circulated for some time about the fate of the campus, and we've had several inquiries through our online bond feedback form. To be clear, this week's vote only served to approve building demolition and nothing else regarding the future of the property.

Finally this week, architects unveiled designs for an exterior face lift of existing buildings at Cheyenne, to match the facades of the new gymnasium and science lab. These images are also available on bond.susd.org.
