St. John's Parish Day School Newsletter for November 9, 2017

Student Council elections were held this week. Service on the St. John's Student Council is an excellent way for students to gain leadership experience and an understanding of the political process. Students prepared campaign posters, decorated voting booths, and gave clever, thoughtful, and impassioned speeches —complete with catchy slogans. At St. John's, a student-leader strives to change the world by starting with their own community, and this spirit was at the core of many of the speeches. We are so proud of all of our candidates: Zoe Genz , Jessie Norbeck , Selena Sanchez , Avery Shao , Dylan Walther , Finn Yesilonis .

The results are in: President Avery Shao, Vice-President Zoe Genz, Communications Coordinator Jessie Norbeck, and Outreach Coordinator Finn Yesilonis. The Student Council mentors this year will be Mrs. Appelbaum, Mrs. Bates, Ms. Speer, and Chaplain Jenni.

All of the speeches are available now on our Facebook page!
