Emergency Text Messaging System
In a true emergency, the ability to text our parents is of the utmost importance. As such, Bayside offers the option to receive emergency notifications via SMS text message.  To participate, you must opt-in by texting the word "YES" to 68453 from each wireless device you wish to receive SMS text messages. You should receive an opt-in confirmation message from the service. 
Parents Association Meeting Thursday
The first Bayside Parents Association (BPA) meeting of the year will be held this Thursday (September 5) at 2:00 p.m. in the Pilot Center Theatre. There will be five meetings of the BPA throughout the school year.

As a Bayside parent, you are a member of the BPA! The mission of the BPA is to support, encourage, and contribute to daily life at Bayside Academy. The BPA's aim is to work alongside the administration, faculty, and students so that together we can experience the spirit of Bayside to its fullest extent. Let's Go, Admirals!
Bayside Cheer Clinic for PK–6 Hosted by the Varsity Cheer Squad
  • September 9–11
  • 3:00–4:30 p.m. on the Bayside football field (Girls must be signed out by a parent from the ECC playground at 4:30 p.m.)
  • $75/girl includes t-shirt
  • When registering your child, please add your child's shirt size next to her name in the name field (e.g., Susie Smith YS).

Girls will learn cheers and chants and perform during the first quarter of the Thomasville game on Friday, September 13. That night, girls will need to report to the field at 6:40 p.m. wearing their cheer t-shirt (handed out at the clinic) and BLUE Bayside Academy spirit shorts (sold in The Shoppe on the Bluff).
Bayside App
The Bayside app is currently under construction. We will let you know as soon as it is ready to be used.

Parents in Prayer
Parents in Prayer will have its first meeting of the year tomorrow (Wednesday, September 4) at 8 a.m. in the Old Library Conference Room of the White House.

All Bayside parents are invited to participate in Parents in Prayer on Wednesday mornings from 8–9 a.m. to pray for our students, faculty, and staff and events and activities pertaining to our Bayside campus. Parents in Prayer also takes personal prayer requests from the faculty and staff. Even if you can't make it every single Wednesday, please pop in when you can to lift up others before God. We want you to be a part of our group!
Beyond Bayside After-School Enrichment
Beyond Bayside is our wonderful after-school enrichment program with something for most everyone in Grades PK–6. Check out all of our options on the website . Registration takes place completely online.

Art/Pottery Camps
  • Ms. Cindy Robles is offering monthly pottery camps for students in Grades PK–5.
  • Ms. Haley Hall has art camps for students in Grades 1–6.

Engineering Enrichment Program
  • We have a new Gulf Coast Young Engineers program that begins today. Students will learn mathematical principles and a wide range of physical laws of science through robotic LEGO models. There are two offerings: one for Grades 2–4 and another for Grades 5 & 6.

HW Lab (Homework Help)
  • HW Lab is a place for students in Grades 3–6 to complete assignments in a supervised environment. A teacher will lead students through daily homework and time management. The program will take place in the library from 3:30–4:30 p.m. on Mondays–Thursdays.
YDL Wrestling
There will be a preseason informational meeting to discuss the upcoming wrestling season for 2019–2020 for Grades 2–8.

Wrapping Paper Fundraiser
The Bayside Service Club is selling wrapping paper to raise money for their service projects which include contributing to Ecumenical Ministries and Prodisee Pantry, providing Christmas gifts for local children, tutoring at the Boys & Girls Club, cooking for Ronald McDonald House and Chili Cook-Off, packing meals for Stop Hunger organizations, and helping victims of natural disasters. To order, refer to the materials your child brought home from school or visit this site . The deadline for orders is Monday, September 30 .
College Counseling Reminders
  • The college counseling newsletter will be posted on the website this week.
  • Please be seated by 9:30 a.m. if you plan to attend the assembly with General Krulak on September 10.
  • Students must get passes to see college reps by 3 p.m. the day before the rep’s scheduled visit. Since we are periodically out of the office, it is important to plan ahead for this.
  • Parents of seniors should note that brag letters and required student information should be submitted immediately if not already taken care of.
  • Students may request that official transcripts be sent to colleges after they sign off on the unofficial transcripts received during group guidance this Thursday and Friday.

Become a Bayside Booster
Become a member of the Bayside Booster Club! Bayside's Booster Club is a nonprofit organization that promotes and fosters character and skill development through the support of sports and other co-curricular activities. The Booster Club provides logistical, volunteer, and financial support for students who are committed to achieving excellence in the classroom, on the field, and in the community.
