+ commitment sunday
Freed for the Future:
Our Selves, Our Time, and Our Possessions
Freed for the Future and led by the Holy Spirit, we have renewed opportunities to
Make Christ Known here in our congregation and in our community.
On Sunday, we commit ourselves to supporting new and exciting ministries for the coming year. During worship, we will all be invited to bring forward our 2018 Commitment Cards, offering our gifts to God. (If you did not receive a Commitment Card in the mail, there will be extras available in the pews.)
Every commitment matters, and giving towards that commitment is important. Understanding this,
a member of Nativity has offered a challenge gift of $5,000 if we reach 135 commitments. If you are unable to be with us in worship, please return your commitment no later than Nov 30 so that we can complete this challenge and be assured of reaching our goals for 2018.
|
Over the last few weeks, we have heard about our
Freed for the Future
goals for 2018. Now every household is invited to prayerfully consider how they will respond to our fall stewardship drive. Our hope is that you will respond joyfully, giving as you feel
called and able.
Several households have shared how they plan to respond, in order to encourage others. Click
here to hear from fellow Nativity members about how they are committing in 2018.

+ care
As part of our All Saints service last Sunday,
we commemorated our members who have united with the Church Triumphant in the past year. Throughout the year, a very special team of members help to care for those who are bereaved by providing Funeral Meal Luncheons. Teams plan, cook, serve, and clean-up meals following funeral services if the family desires. If you enjoy cooking, place setting, serving, or even cleaning - please consider serving your Nativity family in this way. Please contact the team coordinator, Princess Ferguson at 684-8823 and let her know you're interested.
