The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It's hard to believe the holiday tree will arrive in downtown Sequim next week to give local elves time to decorate before all of the festivities begin. We already had our first dusting of snow, the recipe files are out as we prepare for the upcoming Thanksgiving feast,  we are looking forward to spending time with family and friends, and we're beginning to think about where to find the perfect gifts for the special people in our lives.  It's the holiday season!  A magical time of year where tradition and surprise blend as we relish in our memories and create new ones.  We hope you can spend part of the season in our small, friendly town and experience our version of a hometown holiday.  Our website can help you find everything you need to plan you trip.
Activities for the Entire Family
Take in a Holiday Program

A great way to get into the spirit of the season is to attend a festive performance.   Olympic Theatre Arts  is hosting two special programs this holiday season.  Take in the Holiday Variety Show December 7 - 10 and the Nutcracker Ballet December 15 - 17.   And you won't want to miss the local Ghostlight Productions performance of "White Christmas," running December 7 - 16.  Many local churches also offer special programs over the season.  Be sure to catch one while you're in town.

There are a variety of special programs taking place during the holidays.

Find the Perfect Holiday Gift

Holiday bazaars are plentiful this time of year.  Each one has its own character and unique offerings, giving you the opportunity to find the perfect gift for everyone on your list.  Take in the Nature Mart at the Dungeness River Audubon Center, the Lavender Holiday Bazaar, and the variety of events hosted by community groups.  Find all of the events on the calendar on our website.  And be sure to visit our local stores.  Sequim is full of family-owned boutiques and shops offering a personal shopping experience.

Sequim stores are gearing up for the holiday season.

Join us for a Tree Lighting

We have two in Sequim!  We'll light our outdoor tree in downtown on Saturday, November 25 at 4:30 p.m. Santa arrives at 2:00 and the afternoon is full of fun activities for the entire family.  The tree at the Civic Center will be lit on December 1 at 5:00 p.m. as a part of  the First Friday Art Walk.

A few raindrops can't dampen the spirit of these merrymakers.

There is a little bit of something for everyone in Sequim during the holidays.  We wish you a joyful season and look forward to your visit.
