Safety and Risk Management for Places of Worship - We are all aware of the enormous impact of gun violence and other hostile acts occurring in settings where people are gathered to worship.  It is vital to manage risks and reduce the potential for violence and minimize the harm.  Your church may be contemplating developing plans for safety - fire, storms, flooding and weapon/gun violence.  Our insurance carrier Brotherhood Mutual has provided some healthy guidance for risk management and safety on their web site:  Every church should have plans and people in place to handle crisis events.  Talk to your local law enforcement and ask them to do a "safety" check of your property and procedures.   Talk to your insurance carrier about safety.   Start with the links below from Brotherhood Mutual.
