Honor a Loved One at Angels of Light

Each year, the Hospice Tree for Life is decorated with personalized Tribute Angels and lighted in a special holiday ceremony.  This holiday event features an opening prayer, live music, refreshments, reading of the Tribute Angel names and the lighting of the Hospice Tree for Life.

The 2017 Hospice Tree for Life is dedicated to the loving memory of Ellarose Carden by her family.

Ellarose Carden was born in Bogalusa on June 20, 1924. Her father was the first mayor of Bogalusa. Her mother was the daughter of Fritz Salmen of Slidell.

She was a beloved volunteer and avid supporter of
St. Tammany Hospital Hospice for more than 20 years and considered the staff and volunteers there a part of her family. She was the recipient of the hospice Blue Dove Award and often said, "Hospice gave me far more than I ever gave it." Ellarose and the Salmen Family Foundation have donated millions of dollars to charities, schools, churches and organizations throughout St. Tammany Parish.

Ella has positively impacted many peoples' lives with her strong personality, loving spirit and generosity. Her only hobby was to bring laughter and enjoyment to people - and she was very good at it.

#GivingTuesday
Benefiting pediatric patients at STPH!

The foundation is once again participating in the global #GivingTuesday movement.

Celebrated the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events: Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and year-end giving.

One of the best ways to get involved in #GivingTuesday is in your own community. This year, St. Tammany Hospital Foundation is collecting items to stock an art cart for the STPH pediatric unit! Please consider donating art supplies, games, toys and care items to help us stock the cart for our littlest patients.

For more information, visit sthfoundation.org/GivingTuesday.
Breakfast with St. Tammany

The foundation recently hosted a donor cultivation event at the Southern Hotel where we spotlighted two growing programs - Pediatrics and Neurosciences.  Dr. Robert Faucheux and Dr. Sebastian Koga presented, and Patti Ellish shared the hospital's vision for growth throughout the next few years.

THANK YOU to our donors and friends who joined us to learn more about how
St. Tammany Parish Hospital is growing to meet the healthcare needs of our community.

Monster Mash Success!

Thank you to all who attended, volunteered, sponsored and supported the 29th annual Monster Mash presented by Metairie Bank Northshore, which benefits the
St. Tammany Parish Hospital Parenting Center.

The 2017 event was a huge success, with hundreds of families in attendance to join in on all of the Halloween fun at Bogue Falaya Park.

The Mash raised vital funds to support the STPH Parenting Center and their mission to promote confidence and competence in parenting for families on the Northshore.
