The Famoso Raceway dragstrip is located north of Bakersfield, California, and is known historically as the home to the annual March Meet, also known as the U.S. Fuel and Gas Championships.

 


Day of the Dead Car Show November 5th.


The Eighth Annual Car Show is scheduled for Sunday, November 5th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Glen Avon Heritage Park in Jurupa Valley. The park is located on Mission Boulevard, off the 60 freeway at the Pyrite Street exit.
The Day of the Dead Car Show is exclusive to pre-1972 hot rods, custom, classic cards and motorcycles.
Judging for awards will occur during the event with awards to begin at 1 p.m. Winners need to be present to accept the award. Rain is expected for the show on Sunday. The event will go on rain or shine.



NHRA Auto Club Finals
November 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
  

The season concludes where it began with an event traditionally laced with drama. The historic racetrack typically enjoys seasonably cool ­temperatures that translate into perfect racing conditions and a spectacular, no-holds-barred battle for the prestigious NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series world championships. It's a good bet that the Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle world titles will still be in doubt at the beginning of the season's final day.
