November 2017
November marks the end of daylight savings and the unofficial beginning of winter and holiday festivities.  Curl up by the fire at one of our cozy bed & breakfasts or go out on the town for a night of one-of-a-kind dining and entertainment.  Waynesboro is home for the holidays no matter where you're from!

My Fair Lady
November 9-12
November 16-19

Wayne Theatre

The Wayne Theatre presents My Fair Lady. Hailed by critics and audiences for its heart and its wit, My Fair Lady is a beautiful musical about transformation, patronage, gender politics and class, based on George Bernard Shaw's play, Pygmalion. It is beloved for being both one of the cleverest and one of the most romantic musicals of all time.

Shenandoah National Park

foggy-loop-road.jpg Shenandoah National Park is a playground for adventure, learning, and fun!  Whether you have an hour, a day, or a week, you can plan a great visit. Use Skyline Drive for a scenic drive to experience beautiful vistas Shenandoah is known for. If you can spend the day, check the Ranger Programs schedule for a hike, walk, or talk that interests you. Stop by a visitor center to get hiking suggestions and see the exhibits and movies. Or go birdwatching, wander in Big Meadows, or try an earthcache.

Small Business Saturday
November 25

Small Business Saturday is a day to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities. Please join us and organizations across the country in supporting your local small business by shopping at a small business.  Many local businesses will have specials offers for the day and even extended hours!

Appalachian Trail Community
Did you know Waynesboro is a designated Appalachian Trail Community?  Waynesboro provides access to the Appalachian Trail, the longest marked foot path in the United States. Displaying a beautiful world of flora and fauna while providing homes for countless woodland creatures, the trail touches 14 states and runs through 8 national forests. Join the 10,000+ who have hiked the entire 2,178-mile path or spend the afternoon exploring it and the rest of our beautiful outdoors.

Community members, city departments and organizations recognize the volume of hikers that spend time in Waynesboro, and have developed tools to help make their stay more efficient and enjoyable.  Next time you see a hiker around town, give 'em a wave!

Basic City Beer Co.

Ready to see if you have buns of steel? Corkscrew Racing has teamed up with Waynesboro's newest brewery, Basic City Beer Co., to test your spirit and resolve on our newest, most challenging course! Just under 3 miles, the course starts and ends across from the brewery and after a short road section, the real fun begins. Once you pass the recycling center, the course climbs a quad-burning 300 feet to the highest point in Waynesboro --the future home of Sunset Park. Here you can take in the 360-degree panoramic view of the Shenandoah Valley. From the top you will dart into the woods for a twisting trail run back down the mountain and to the finish line. Join us for a hearty good run and for a hearty good cause...a portion of the race proceeds will go to building Waynesboro's newest park.
