MAKE MONEY FOR SCHOOLS WITH WESTCHASE ON THE RUN
Westchase on the Run
We've got a great event that will get you and your family out running/walking the Westchase District Trail System while raising money for Westchase District schools at the same time. Westchase on the Run, presented by Portico at West 8, will take place on Saturday, November 11. Registration will open at 7 a.m. and the run and walk will each start at 8 a.m.

The event will begin and end at the Westchase METRO Park & Ride, 11050 Harwin Drive. A three-mile run will travel the northern route of the Library Loop Trail. A two-mile walk will proceed on a southern route to Brays Bayou. Featuring sponsored water and snack stations, patrol officers, on-site first aid, a DJ and a patriotic costume contest (after all, it's Veteran's Day!), Westchase on the Run promises outdoor fun no matter what pace you take.

Registration is $5.00 per person and Westchase District and Portico at West 8 will donate $15 for each paid participant to one of the following schools serving Westchase District families:
  • Ascension Episcopal School
  • Budewig Intermediate School
  • Grace School
  • O'Donnell Middle School
  • Paul Revere Middle School
  • Sneed Elementary School
  • Walnut Bend Elementary School
  • Wesley Academy
That's right, we'll triple your money and you get to choose where it goes! Volunteers are needed and sponsorships are available. For more information, contact Sherry Fox, 713-780-9434.
