Pumpkin Parade

During the weeks of October 17th through October 30th, a pumpkin parade will be rolling through the gym in celebration of Fall!  A harvest time theme will be incorporated into all Intro to Tumbling (4-6 yrs) gymnastics activities, which will follow ATA's curriculum and help to develop student's strength, balance, agility, coordination and flexibility.   Celebrate in the festivities & send your tumbler to class in costume the week of the 24th through the 30th.  (Please make sure that your child can still tumble in their
costume. Please no scary costumes, wings, long dresses , wigs or hats).
*ATA will be closed on Tues. October 31st.

Your Gymster can dress up for class the week of October 26th-29th. Please make sure your child can still tumble in their costume. No scary costumes, wings, hats or wigs. For information on fall themes and more, check out our October Gymster Gazette.

Last Month's Action Packed Fun
September was a month to remember!  National Gymnastics Week was a hit and we hope you all our students enjoyed the group warm up routine!  If you took a pic of your child in our photo booth and haven't done so yet, share it on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and tag it with #ATANGD2017.

October's Safety Tip
At ATA we strive to offer quality gymnastics instruction in a fun, challenging and positive atmosphere.  Our goal is to accomplish all of the above in the safest environment possible.  As with any activity, there is inherent risk in gymnastics.  We want to provide our staff, parents and students with the knowledge and tools necessary for a safe experience every time they walk through ATA's doors.  In order to do this, all recreational classes will be focusing on safety during the month of October.  Week 2: Earthquake drill-classes will review and practice the steps that should be taken in the case of an earthquake.  Weeks 3 & 4: Safety Falls-classes will discuss why safety falls are so important and practice performing safety falls going forward & backward.
ATA will be closed Tuesday, October 31st
No make ups are needed for this scheduled day off as our calendar is based on an approximate average of 4 classes per month over a one year period.
Have a fun & safe Halloween!

Acrobatic Gymnastics Team

Fall is here and Team ATA is underway; learning new skills in new partnerships and making quick and steady progress!  Most of our Novice Team athletes may be new, but they are learning quickly and efficiently!  With what they've learned already, we are excited to see what they will accomplish this season!!

Team ATA had a terrific time and did a lot of impressing at this year's Almaden Art and Wine Festival!  Sunday, September 17th was a beautiful day with perfect weather to show off Acro performances that really shined to a large, enthusiastic audience!  The festival's popularity means 25,000 visitors roam the one day event! Getting a chance to perform Acro without competing, is super fun for the athletes and we were glad to get a festival slot this year!

National Team members put their best efforts and skills to the test at National Team Training Camp in Houston, TX September 13-17.  Athletes were coached and mentored by the National Coaching staff to work on perfecting skills, choreography and dance!  Many of these athletes will head to Florida in just a few weeks to compete at the Pan American Championships.  ATA's Jr Elite women's group of Taylor Witana, Samantha Servellon and Neena Deshpande will join Team USA at this event!  They will be working hard over the next couple weeks polishing their routines and perfecting skills.  Good luck trio!  We will be rooting you on from the west coast!

Have a Great Day!
