Winter Parking Restriction in Effect: November 1 - March 31
Please keep roads free of vehicles during snowfalls. Parked vehicles reduce our crews' ability to efficiently clear roads for emergency vehicles and transit to travel.

To help plows safely and efficiently clear roads, an on-street parking restriction is in effect in Mississauga from November 1 to March 31, between 2 am - 6 a.m. Parked or stopped vehicles in contravention of the City’s Traffic By-law or on-street parking restriction will be issued a penalty notice and will be subject to towing and storage fees at the expense of the owner. The operational condition of a vehicle is not an exemption to these requirements.

During the fall, the City of Mississauga provides Vacuum Leaf Pickup service to streets that are more than 35 years old and contain many mature large trees. Streets with fewer and younger trees are not included in the program.

Addresses eligible for Leaf Pickup will receive a direct-mail notice that indicates when leaves will be picked up in their area. Check the  Leaf Pickup Route Map  to find out if your street will receive Vacuum Leaf Pickup.

If your address qualifies for Vacuum Leaf Pickup:
  • Rake leaves to the edge of the grass by Sunday of the week before your scheduled vacuum leaf pickup. Do not rake leaves onto the road.
  • Do not mix items such as wood, brick or brush with the leaves as they can damage equipment or injure workers.
  • Help reduce potential flooding by keeping curbside storm drains clear of leaves.
  • Help our crews by removing cars from the street during leaf pickup.
Upcoming Construction in Your Neighbourhood
The Region of Peel will be working in your neighbourhood to repair and protect the existing sanitary sewer on Lakeshore Road West with specialized equipment to reline the inside of the sewer pipe.

This work will require closing two curb lanes on Lakeshore Road West at the intersection with Clarkson Road South (see below map) for a period of eight (8) nights starting mid-November. To minimize traffic disruption in the area the work will be done overnight, between 8 pm and 6 am.The Region of Peel anticipates the noise may be slightly higher than daytime traffic noise and applied for a noise bylaw exemption to complete the works.

Parking Matters
The City of Mississauga wants your help as we study citywide parking. This study, called Parking Matters, will help make future decisions about parking across the City. As our City continues to grow and evolve, our community parking needs are changing. All kinds of parking are being reviewed in the study including: on-street and off-street parking, as well as public and private parking. They are all an important part of our transportation system. To learn more about the study, click here.

With the completion of the second phase of the project and the development of some parking recommendations and policy considerations for the City, we are now embarking on the second round of engagement with parking users, providers and members of Council.

CRH Canada - Trees & Shrubs Planted in 2017
In celebration of Canada 150, all wards within the City of Mississauga are going to try to plant 150 trees in 2017 as part of the One Million Trees campaign. CRH Mississauga, in partnership with Credit Valley Conservation, has planted 1,408 trees and shrubs in 2017. The planting was done as part of the 'Flyway Habitat Project', as well as a pollinator garden we planted on site this past summer. CRH employees planted the trees and shrubs under the guidance of CVC staff during a recent planting event. CVC will register the plantings on the City’s One Million Trees website. CRH is pleased to have been able to help Ward 2 exceed the Canada 150 target!
