That's right, there is an amazing player on the Boston Celtics that some are suggesting is the one most likely to replace LeBron James as the best player in the league.
His name is Kyrie Irving and he's crediting much of his recent success to his new plant-based diet, making that decision after watching "What the Health," which is available on Netflix. (See trailer at end of this BSB)
Just this week (11-15-17), an
article about Kyrie was published in the online Bleacher Report, entitled:
The Secret (But Healthy) Diet Powering Kyrie and the NBA
Chicken wings are vanishing from the locker room. Superstars are slimming down-and speeding up. If 'skinny ball' has arrived, could the performance-enhancer sparking a revolution be...veganism?
The article went on to say:
"
It might be too early to talk about Irving's MVP candidacy, but there's something different about Kyrie right now. His already skinny frame is noticeably trimmer. Gaunt, almost. But he's outlasting everybody...i
n late-game situations while other players are gassed, Irving has looked bouncier than ever."
It turns out that quite a few current NBA players have followed the advice of John Salley (the first player to win championships on three different teams). Salley says:
"Vegan eating is not just a slam dunk for human health; it's also the most effective way to combat climate change."
The Bottom Line. Just as many NBA & NFL players and numerous track and field stars have discovered,
eating mostly whole plants improves performance.
That fact, along with effortless weight-loss and disease reversal have greatly raised the popularity of the vegan diet in the USA--exploding from less than 1% to as high as 6% in just the past few years.
