Howard University Alternative Spring Break Comes to Belle Glade, Partners Wanted
Howard University's annual Alternative Spring Break (ASB) program is a service trip that allows college students to volunteer during their spring break both nationally and abroad. This school year, from March 10 to March 17, 2018, we are committed to serve in Belle Glade, Florida. Our goal is to uplift the community by providing assistance in service projects that require physical labor, mentorship, and practical responses.
The ASB program would be impossible without the participation of community leaders and support of devoted sponsors. We are asking if any of the non-profit organizations or after school programs are interested in having us volunteer with them during our trip. Approximately 50 students are joining us on this trip. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. (The Glades Initiative encouraged Howard University to reach out to our partners.)
