How can you find the best private school for your child?
When determining which private or independent school is the best fit for your child, it's important to make sure that your child is excited about the new school environment. Open houses at Massachusetts private schools will be held over the course of the next month, and visiting schools will give you and your child important insights into the best school fit. It is also important to visit because schools keep track of students who do visit and use this information to assist with the application process.
Visiting a school shows them that you are interested.
How can I make the most of my visit? Don't be hesitant about asking questions that will assist you in the decision-making process. Here are some questions you might want to ask:

What services are available to students (for example, college prep counseling, tutoring, etc.)?

What activities and services are available to help students get settled (academically and socially) during their first year?

Is Your Child Going to Retake the ACT or SAT
Test this Fall?
Plan for your child to take a standardized test at least twice to give them the best chance of a high score.
The next SAT will be November 4th and then December 2nd.
The next ACT will be October 28th and then December 9th.
