What's going on in your head when you see someone "different"?
What's going on in theirs?
Why does it matter?

More than 85 percent of all Americans consider themselves to be unprejudiced. Yet researchers have concluded that most people in the United States hold some degree of implicit racial bias. What does that mean for our personal and professional success or failure with fellow students, professors, and with the many people--employers, landlords, doctors, police--with whom we interact daily?

Optional : Take the   " Implicit Association Test " to see how you measure up before you join us for a revealing, and forward-thinking- discussion. ( Google "IAT" to take the test. )

Welcome to our Open House! House of Privilege is an experiential tour where you can explore different types of privilege. You can choose to participate in a self-guided tour or during a facilitated tour at the times listed above. If your class or organization is interested in scheduling a showing, please visit   intercultural.uncg.edu/house-of-privilege
CAVING TRIP I
On this day trip we will head up to Virginia to explore one of its many wild caves. A wild cave is much different than a commercial cave and does not have lights, electricity, paved paths, or wooden staircases. Get ready to delve into an underground world of wet and muddy delights! We will explore the variety of “rooms” within this cave, and even get to see some interesting cave formations. You will be climbing, crawling, getting wet & muddy, and have a chance to experience total darkness on this trip. We even take a break to enjoy lunch served underground! Visit recwell.uncg.edu/oa to learn more about our Trips Program.
