Youth Retreat -
Billings, Montana
Approximately 50-60 teens from Emmanuel Baptist Church in Billings, MT will be on retreat this weekend.
Transformed is the theme for the weekend. As I travel to minister to these students, my desire is:
- to see teens who do not know Christ experience by faith the life-changing salvation of Jesus and
- to see Christian teens who have been struggling to grow in Christ mature in their faith so that they will walk in a manner worthy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Invited by Tyler Frank, youth pastor, I am looking forward to working again with students from Emmanuel Baptist. I will preach four times during the weekend: Friday evening, Saturday morning and evening, and conclude on Sunday morning. While there will be an opportunity to receive Christ at every session, Friday evening and Saturday morning will primarily focus on presenting the Gospel to the unbelievers and Saturday evening and Sunday morning's messages will focus more on discipling believers.
I have been struggling since the last few days of the revival in Colorado last week with allergies and sinus infection. This has taken a toll on my voice, my energy level, and overall health. I need your prayers on my behalf for healing. The retreat worship pastor is also struggling with cold and allergies and is unsure, at this point, if he will have the strength of voice to lead this weekend. Please be in prayer for him -- as well as those who may have to step up to lead in his stead.

- Ask God to anoint me to proclaim the message of Jesus Christ clearly and powerfully through the Holy Spirit.
- Pray for the Holy Spirit to convict the lost of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Pray that God will open their eyes to see that they can be free from the penalty of sin, the power (authority) of sin, and one day for all of eternity, the presence of sin by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
- Pray for Christian teens who have been using grace as a license for evil to be renewed in their faith, to repent of sin, and to walk in obedience to Jesus Christ with passion and adoration for Christ as the surpassing treasure.
- Pray for the retreat worship pastor and for me to see renewed strength and health and for a strong voice all four sessions. Please pray that the enemy will not be able to use any of this illness at all to his advantage as we battle for the souls of teens in Billings, MT.
