What do you like about working for Easterseals?
I like working for Easterseals because of the relationships I get to build with my clients.  Because I service the birth to 3 populations I get to see these kids grow and develop before my eyes.  It is rewarding to feel as though I may have helped in some way.  Also I like helping parents better understand their behaviorally challenging children and help them to build a stronger loving relationship.

Best vacation?
You are asking the person that needs to take more time off, lol.  But if I define vacation as time away from work the best time away from work, hands down, was my maternity leave.  That was the best 3 months of my life and best time spent away from work.  Every other vacation and destination I have been pales in comparison

If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?
If I would be anyone for a day it would definitely be Ellen DeGeneres.  I just love her.  She has a great personality and is very personable and funny.  I would love to embody her positivity and love of life. I like the fact that she uses her celebrity wisely and gives back.  I think a day in the life of Ellen would not only be exciting but rewarding as well.

What values are important to you?
The values that are important to me are dedication, hard work, honesty, sincerity, and love.  There are many others but these are the core that my parent's instilled in me growing up and I still live by today.

What do you like about working for Easterseals?
I love getting to know the different clients and developing a relationship with them and seeing them grow. It is such a fulfilling job. The staff at Easterseals are some of the most genuinely kind people I have ever met and so supportive.

If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you?
I would have to say Reese Witherspoon. She seems like more of a soft spoken and caring person, which is how I see myself. (My PC and TL agreed!)  ...and we look similar!

What does true leadership mean to you?
There is a poster at the Easterseal's office in Stratham that states, "Leadership is action, not position". To me, a leader is someone who takes initiative to work on translating a vision into a reality. It is not about the title, but more about the outcome.

What is on your wish list for the next 10 years with Easterseals?
I am currently a Youth Support Specialist. I am really enjoying the age group that I am working with and don't see myself switching positions any time soon but it's exciting to think about the different opportunities that Easterseals has for me.

Don't Miss the Ribbon Cutting & Building Dedication-- After a year of construction, it's time to celebrate our newly renovated Auburn Street facility that will serve our clients and staff for many years to come.

We have scheduled Wednesday, November 1st as the day to invite staff, clients, and supporters to see the renovated space. Here are the details of the day:

Between 7am and 9am and from 11:30am to 1:30pm, tours of the building will be conducted for staff and clients. This is your opportunity to learn about the 12 core services we provide to our clients, as well as the administrative support available to our employees such as HR, Payroll, IT, Development, Finance, etc. To begin the tour, please join us in the main lobby (near Kathy Bolster). We'll also have raffles and goodies!

You are also invited to the Ribbon Cutting & Building Dedication at 5:30pm on November 1st.  At that time, we'll thank the donors to the capital campaign that supported the renovation, and we'll rename the building the Easterseals John A. Samenfeld Center. John is a long-time volunteer and very deserving of this dedication. Building tours will be led during this event too.

Whether you are able to drop by during the day, or can only come at 5:30pm for the Ribbon Cutting event, we sincerely hope you will join us on November 1st!
