Special Mercy Offering
Sunday, October 15
On October 15 we will be doing a mercy offering for Hurricane Harvey and Irma disaster response. The donation will be given to The PCA's Mission to North America (MNA) Disaster Relief, which we support because of their biblical approach to assistance that benefits both body and soul. If you will not be in church that Sunday or would like to give online, you can give directly to support their work at http://pcamna.org/disaster-response.

Do You Need Help with Housework or Yardwork?
Every year, church members and families partner with Campus Outreach to help get our students to the Campus Outreach New Year's Conference. The Lord has used this annual conference in many different ways and we would hate for our students to miss out because of finances. Help a UNCC student get to the Campus Outreach New Year's Conference by hiring one to come help you with anything around your house! If you are interested, contact Abby Minnick at [email protected] or 201-669-9618.

Immediate Need: American Heritage Girls!
We have 75 excited girls participating in American Heritage Girls (AHG) this year, our third year! While this is very exciting, we now need more women who can lead small groups and minister to our girls as they learn how to become "women of integrity through service to God, family, community, and country." Our year has already started and we have girls waiting for leaders. 25% of our girls are from Christ Covenant Church. We must have two AHG registered adults in each room to meet our "two-deep" leadership structure.

Leader Needs: Middle school/high school (2 leaders), grades 4-6 (2 leaders), grades 1-3 (1 leader), kindergarten (1 leader).

No experience necessary, all training provided. Troop 0800 meets weekly on Thursday nights, 6:45-8:15 PM. For more information, contact Jenny Blackmon or Tiffany Slack, troop coordinators, at [email protected].

No GriefShare Session this Fall
The GriefShare program will not have a session this fall. Our next session is scheduled for the spring and we will announce it in our E-Courier and on the Grief Ministry page of our website.

Our Community

Let Them Soar 5K
Saturday, November 4 | 8 a.m.
Christ Covenant Church and the His Abilities ministry is excited to host the Let Them Soar 5K, a fundraiser to support the work of The Exceptional Foundation. We are excited to be supporting the good work that TEF is doing to bless our community by creating a special place for those with special needs.

We are excited to host this event hoping that this will provide a positive experience and connection point with Christ Covenant Church for many outside our church community - a possible bridge to the church and to Christ for those whose lives have been touched by disability or runners and participants who love this community.

This is one of the ways that we are able to express our affirmation of the dignity of every human life as created in the image of God. Sign up to run or volunteer to help or just show up and support this event. For details on the race and a link to register, click here. You can participate by yourself, join a team, or even be a "Spirit Runner" (you get a t-shirt and don't have to run!). Questions? Contact Dave Baxter at [email protected]

Our Tithes and Gifts
Thank you for your tithes and gifts to all of the ministries of Christ Covenant. Don't forget to take advantage of our secure online giving. Please continue to pray for God's provision this calendar year. As a reminder, the Our Heritage pledge fulfillment period goes through December 2017.
