Bethesda House

A faith based home for young pregnant or parenting
moms and their babies.

Missy's Message

Dear Friends,
Happy 1 st birthday, Bethesda House. November 27th marks our one-year anniversary of Bethesda House opening our doors and in that time we have provided support to 10 young women.   Some moms stay long term, the full two years, focusing on obtaining their education goals. Others use BH as a stop gap measure. No matter how long the stay, we believe the time we have with each mom that comes through our doors is an opportunity to share Jesus and His love. Our prayer is that in God’s perfect time, He will water the seeds planted during their stay at BH. This newsletter is packed full of so much going on. We recently shared our breaking news that the new property is in a location that will foster independence giving residents access to public transportation, a grocery store, pharmacy, bank and playground. Each mom and baby will have their own small bedroom, eliminating sleepless nights caused by babies sharing rooms. Most importantly, we will be able to help more women improve their lives and the lives of their children. But, we need your help! Please take a moment to watch the video below and see how Bethesda House is impacting lives. As always, we thank God for our amazing volunteers who pour into the young women at BH. Diane Brown (along with many helping hands) has decorated a beautiful tree at the Hanover Mall in honor of all that have contributed to BH to make our 1 st year so successful. Votes may be cast at the mall until December 14 and first place wins $1500.

Christmas Giving
Christmas gifts are not necessary at all-- the girls truly appreciate all you pour into them with your love and support. But for some of you that insist on gift giving, space is so limited and we have such an abundant supply of clothes and toys at BH, please consider a gift card that they choose to lock up in their envelope for when they leave and are not gifted with as much.

Or, donate to the fund for our new home!
Seeking Donations
** Bethesda House is in need of expendable items on a regular basis. This month, we are specifically in short supply of wet wipes, paper goods, and household cleaning products. Check out the complete list of all of our current needs

** We are in need of wrapping supplies for our Gift Wrapping Event at the Hanover Mall on 12/23. Donations of wrapping paper, tape, ribbons/bows would be greatly appreciated. Email Missy Porter for more information.

And, as always, thank you for your continued generosity.
Yours Sincerely,

Missy Porter, RN
